 What is SLASHGAURD? SLASHGAURD [Yes, we are aware it's spelled wrong. :3] is a conglomeration of non-slash artwork and writing, along with a directory to other groups that focus on non-slash fanwork.  What we mean to do in this group?We are by no means trying to disrespect or judge people who are fans or creators of slash work. Everyone is entitled to what they like. THIS IS NOT A HATE GROUP! What we are attempting to do here is create a safe place for people who aren't fond of that kind of art and can't stomach or be bothered to search through everywhere looking for safe stuff to read or favorite. We have noticed many fandoms are incapacitated from their full potential, not truly because of the slash art, but because there is no filter for it. I have heard many slash fans argue with non-slashers the ever true, yet repetitive "If you don't like it, then don't look at it." Well, as fair as that may seem it has come to a point in time where you can't help but run into it. Here in SLASHGUARD we're offering a solution so everyone can enjoy their fandom experience. How this group works and how to join?Some of you may be thinking it's obvious how this group works, you're a Non-Slasher: Come right in and enjoy! You're a Slasher: Get the hell out of here! WRONG! Slasher's are welcome here too, very welcome, in fact, we could use your help! We need people who don't mind Slash, who can tell the difference between a slash, preslash [which we sometimes take] and non-slash work. I search through many fandoms thoroughly to the best of my ability, so I can share with everyone here. Unfortunatly I am only one person, with a lot on my plate and having the attention span that I do, I only search fandoms that interest me. THERE ARE SO MANY OUT THERE!!! I could use your help in sorting them out. Help us here, so you'll have a few less people to complain about in your Anti-Anti-Slash blogs.  Rules and Guidelines Obviously, no slash. That's pretty much self-explanatory. No shit Sherlock, yeah? No hate. At ALL people! This means Non-slashers don't hate on Slashers, and Slashers don't hate on Non-slashers and don't dis the Narutards or type Shittalia in the comments. Be nice. Please, we need to get along and it's hard enough for me to be kind. I don't need your negative energy people. There are wonderful non-slashers out there and equally wonderful slashers. What a person likes does not necessarily define the person.
